My main tools for oil paintings are brushes of different sizes and shapes. If you think of them, it is just a wooden handle and a bundle of bristles, natural or synthetic. Sometimes it is hard to fathom the level of craftsmanship needed to create these fine instruments. I also like palette knives. Fingertips are quite handy at times, too, to be honest.
